Day 131. This is what I do now (10/5/19)
Mobile again. Sat on Aintree station with eleven minutes until the service to Liverpool Central slides into view.
The morning has been spent watching a red queuing bar crawl across the face of Liverpool’s website, registering for the ballot which will bring a ticket for Madrid to a portion of those, like me, trying to figure out exactly how lfctv.net thinks it works. All of us exchanging messages via twitter, text, Whatsapp comparing experiences just to ensure that we genuinely are in the draw.
Counter intuitive doesn't even begin to cover it.
But none of us who are successful will remember that this time next week.
Last night was spent in the company of a couple of ladies who have met, spent time with, worked with more legendary figures in the world of entertainment than you could possibly imagine.
We talked of one well known singer and mid-conversation one of his songs played randomly in the background.
We talked of Freddie Starr and left the restaurant to find that he had passed away. Some of the morning had been spent viewing his seriously unhinged routines of the 70s and 80s; the only man who ever scared Ali on live television.
The next hours are more meetings, followed by entertainment.
And this is genuinely my job.
